Soria

Some spectacular ravines

The Río Lobos Canyon has a physiognomy marked by spectacular vertical walls.

The course of the Lobos River forms a spectacular spot between the provinces of Burgos and Soria. It is a limestone canyon with steep vertical walls covered with rock vegetation. The Natural Park also includes pine and juniper forests and scrubland. Regarding its fauna, the most characteristic of the Park are its birds of prey, represented by the eagle owl, the Egyptian vulture, the griffon vulture and the golden eagle, among other species. The Park contains numerous caves (Galiana, Grande, Fría, Negra...), which are of incalculable geological value.
