Culture | Lugo Lugo city walls The city wall was part of a defensive complex comprising a moat, wall and an intervallum. It is the only Roman wall anywhere in the three continents that saw Roman domination, to maintain its entire perimeter intact.

Culture | Fuente del Arco La Jayona Mine The La Jayona Mine Natural Mine is situated in the Sierra de La Jayona Mountains, some 700 metres above sea level and covers 80 hectares. Its landscape is typically Mediterranean, although the microclimate inside the mine is especially interesting.
Culture | Jaca San Juan de la Peña Monastery The monastery consists of two buildings, the New Monastery, dating from the 17th century, in the Baroque style, and the Old Monastery, from the 10th century, in the Romanesque style.
Culture | Gradefes Monastery of San Miguel de la Escalada The Monastery of San Miguel de La Escalada is a beautiful example of the Mozarabic style in the province of León. It was built by Cordoban monks in 913, and its cenobium has a sturdy Romanesque tower dating from the late 11th century.
Culture | Pontevedra Monastery of San Salvador de Lérez Located very close to the city of Pontevedra, this old Benedictine monastery, whose existence has been recorded since the 9th century, contains various interesting neoclassical and Baroque elements.
Culture | Nogal de las Huertas Monastery of San Salvador (Nogal de las Huertas) This building was possibly the first Romanesque monastic construction in this region of the country, and today conserves much of its original structure in a state of consolidated ruin. It is currently being restored.
